About 'Gender Mainstreaming in Border Security & Management' course

Are you interested in gender, gender equality or gender mainstreaming? Have you ever heard of these notions and want to know more about them?

This course is aimed at customs officer, border guards, immigration officers, inspectors of the veterinary, phytosanitary or health inspection service, as well as the supervisors of a team of border guards, immigration or customs officers working at a operational or supportive branch.

The overall objective of this course is twofold:

  • To provide an online training tool for developing knowledge, skills and attitudes towards the implementation of gender mainstreaming principles for various levels of personnel in Border Security and Management (BSM) services;
  • To provide additional resources for BSM personnel involved in delivering training, advocating for and implementing gender mainstreaming in BSM.
